Without text it is the plain repost (the feed's Repost button) and nothing else may be sent. With text it is a repost with your thoughts, a share of your own above the reposted post, which takes visibility, allowed_commenters_scope and mentions exactly as create_linkedin_post does. post_urn is the post being reposted as urn:li:activity, urn:li:share or urn:li:ugcPost (a group post cannot be reposted). Public and outward; retract with delete_linkedin_post on the answered activity_urn. Spends the posting bucket. Contract: - MCP tool `repost_linkedin_post`, registry package `mcp.linkedin/linkedin_posting`, mount `linkedin.content`. - Operation `action`, response envelope `action`. - Flags: dangerous: the MCP layer gates it behind a preview/commit token, and the effect cannot be undone through this API; paced: a call spends the `posting` smart-limit bucket of the account it runs on, and calls of one bucket are spaced per account.
